PLASTIC WORKS

Museum of Technology x Keep Sweden Tidy

Product

Plastslöjd (Plastic Works)

is an initiative, urging teachers in Swedish grammar and junior high schools to add plastic craft to the curriculum, educating the students in the environmental issues of plastic waste and how they can contribute themselves, in this case picking up plastic trash, craft and be creative with it.

The initiative kicked off with a social media film urging schools to add the subject and compete with the creations the students made. The winning class received funding for a class trip and the plastic creations earned a spot at the Museum of Technology for a whole year.
